THE SINGERS WHO SING THE WORLD
6 Mind-Blowing 90s Singers Who Are Still Relevant Today
In the 90s music seemed so different. With hits like Barbie Girl by Aqua or No Rain by Blind Melon, it was just a weird time. These artists always bring great memories. Unfortunately, some of them disappeared in the later decades. Just like how some 90s hits are still relevant today, there are also some artists who managed to turn their debut 1990s musical career to a successful one still. Let’s take a look at some of these singers who were in the 1990s music scene and are still relevant to date.
Madonna
As a pop superstar Madonna has reinvented herself over and over again – from the rebel years to the vogue years and to the ‘hippie’ years. By constantly changing her image, she was able to maintain her place as one of the queens of pop. Her fans are loyal, dedicated and consistent. There is a reason that she has remained so popular.
Shania Twain
Having started from the bottom, Shania Twain is currently one of the top country stars. She started singing in bars and it took some time before she was discovered. In the 1990s she released three albums among them being Man! I feel like A woman, Come on Over and Forever and For Always. She remains relevant today with her residency in Las Vegas. She also opened a popular exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Jennifer Lopez
After getting her start on the show In Living Color, she has since become one of the pop superstars we all know and love. Jennifer Lopez undoubtedly had some of the biggest hits in the 90s and those hits are still played on the radio today. But it’s not just her old songs keeping her relevant. For the past years she has had a successful show in Las Vegas and even released a new album.
Britney Spears
You can’t mention the 90s without mentioning Britney Spears. Her hits “Baby One More Time” and “Oops I Did It Again” were some of the biggest hits of all time. Britney Spears famously had a meltdown in 2005, but she is still relevant when it comes to her music. Not only are her hits currently being played and heard, but she still tours and records music. Her recent tour is still going on and it is selling out all over the country. She still has a long career left in her too. After all, she is just 36 years old.
